Ease into Exercise

Fitness Fundamentals is designed for students who might have reservations about exercising in a gym. Participants will be introduced to a handful of strength and cardio machines and given a guided tour of Ambler SRFC to learn more about our programs and services.

What to Expect

- Learn how to use a day-use locker.
- Learn how to use selectorized equipment (in CRT2 or around the Oread Arena) and cardiovascular equipment properly and practice using them.
- Effectively follow an exercise routine the next time you come to Ambler.
- Learn how to use the Redprint app to track your exercise routines and progress.
- Familiarize yourself with fitness and non-fitness spaces while learning about Recreation Services programs and services.
- Learn about less crowded times and locations to exercise.

Details

- This 45 minute session is FREE to attend and limited to 3 participants.
- Participants may only attend 1 session while attending KU.
- Session will not review other types of fitness equipment including exercises using dumbbells, Olympic bars, plate loaded equipment, cable machines, kettlebells, TRX, etc.
- This program is currently available for students only.
- Participants must wear exercise attire including closed-toe footwear.
- Bring your KU ID card or know your KU ID number.
- Session dates and times vary and available upon request.
