Jason Krone

Jason became Director of Recreation Services in May 2016. Prior to this new position, he returned to KU as an Associate Director for Facility Management, a position he held for 3 years. He previously worked as the Executive Director for the Bonner Springs Family YMCA from 2011-2013. Before the YMCA, Jason served in several roles for KU Recreation Services over 15 years: Intramural Director, Sport Club Director and Associate Director of Programs. He spent two years at Oklahoma State University as a graduate assistant for Intramural Sports. Jason has been a member of NIRSA since 1994 and looks forward to attending both regional and national conferences that supports his profession. He spends a lot of his free time attending his kids' sporting events throughout the year. He can also be found looking for things to do in his garage or yard, hiking with the family, smoking/barbecuing, fishing, or attending Northwest Missouri State University football games.
