Chris Wash

Chris Wash joined the KU Recreation Services team as the Associate Director of Facilities Management in May 2024. Beyond his role at KU, Chris serves as a Logistics Officer in the Kansas Army National Guard, coaches youth sports and fitness, and mentors underserved youth in his community.

Born and raised in Topeka, KS, Chris was a three-sport athlete in football, basketball, and track at Topeka West High School, graduating in 2003. He then earned a football scholarship to Missouri State University, where he completed his degree in Recreation Management in 2007. After graduation, Chris married his wife, Alena, and they have four wonderful children: MJ (Chris Jr.), Tatum, Cruz, and Alivia.
