History/Background
In the Spring of 2016, the Rec Advisory Board suggested a review of current Recreation Service programs, services, and facilities, as well as creating a master plan for current and future KU Students’ fitness, wellness, recreational, and competitive needs. A Needs Assessment was recommended to attain the feedback of Recreation Services participants. In addition the Needs Assessment will provide a foundation which will be used to develop a Master Plan. The Master Plan will provide the map to successfully meeting the needs of students and the KU community through programs, services, and facilities.
During the Summer of 2016, the architecture firm, HOK was chosen to assist in the Needs Assessment/Master Plan process.
